Wisconsin skates for the sweep tonight against the Wolverines.

Last night, we got ice cream! (When the Badgers score 5 goals, ticket holders get a free Culvers ice cream ("No, its custard!"))

Taxes: Done.

Back to Spring Cleaning. Plenty of laundry hanging on the line.

Then going outside for a long walk.

This weather beats 30 and foggy.

My favorite memory of Lucas electrics is being passed in the slush of a driving snowstorm by a Jaguar 2.8 at speed with the wifemate driving and hubby curled up in the open boot, tapping the fuel pump with a spanner to keep it going.

I wonder if she ever forgave him!

Don't ask the broom to bring water.

"... watch out for the broom from nowhere."

"The Broom of the System" is the first novel by the American writer David Foster Wallace, published in 1987...

Because this Cafe is like a footnote to the previous rat post, and DFW loved himself the footnotes.

I am Laslo.

After a clean sweep submarine patrol, boats would tie a broom to the conning tower coming back into Pearl, showing the Japanese Rat Marus were now on the bottom.

Lucas- the Prince of Darkness.

Have a '70 Silver Shadow. One night, in September of 1998, all the lights worked at the same time. Took a picture for proof.

This bird--The Great Tit-- has just caught a rat and has already picked the poor animals brain and looks very pleased with himself. I wonder if he gave out a little "Tarzan" tweet after the kill.

I had a mid-sixties BSA 650 Scrambler - it was actually quite reliable.

Tip from Heloise: If you buy 1/2 gallon bottles of fruit juice, twist the caps loose before putting them in the fridge. The plastic gets harder as it chills.

I was hoping for two "David (the Commenter)" tags in one day, but once again glory is just out of reach.

Just as a word to the wise:

Someone recently bought me a WeightWatchers magazine subscription. I have more or less traced it here, because this is actually the only place I post my full name. I don't know why they thought it'd be funny, though this sort of infantile slut-shaming is all over now. It's idiotic, because actually I've lost 30-plus pounds in the past year, but there you have it.

I watched The Terminator flicks, needing the cultural education. The plot gets more and more tangled and they still haven't finished off the machines.

On the bright side, they've apparently found a way to stay connected to wifi.

Professor, how much for a printed signed copy of your rats? Perhaps in retirement, your first major will become your career.
